About Catherine Academy

Established in 1983, Catherine Group of Institutions is a premier educational institution in rural Vizag, founded by Prof. R.D. Ratna Raju and the late Prof. (Mrs.) Satyabala. As we have been growing in strength there is a need to add another floor with 10 classrooms. This will help cater to the additional sections averaging 40 students in each classroom.

Need

Students are required to take online tests like SAFAL (Student Assessment for Analysis and Learning) and other Olympiads in Math, Science, English and General Knowledge.

Students are also required to complete online projects and short-term courses.

This facility would also help conduct Skill Development and Adult Literacy programs.

Since the temperatures are really high (35–45°C) in the beginning of the academic year, children find it uncomfortable to sit and learn during the day.

The heat also prevents them from going out and playing in the ground.

Experienced English-speaking teachers are difficult to find locally around Bheemili. To provide quality education, teachers are brought daily from Vizag city by cab.

A new vehicle will help attract good teachers and support the growing number of staff travelling from Vizag.
